Flying into Arkaroola | A weekend like no other
There’s something pretty special about arriving at Arkaroola and for some, that journey begins in the air.

Earlier this year, more than 25 aircraft touched down at Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary, bringing together a group of aviation enthusiasts for a weekend of outback adventure, connection and unforgettable landscapes.
Flying over Lake Frome on the way in, you get a real sense of just how vast and ancient this part of South Australia is. The colours shift, the terrain changes, and then suddenly Arkaroola appears, rugged and remote.
From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was set. Old friends reconnected, new ones were made, and the weekend unfolded the way it often does out here with good food, great company and plenty of stories shared.

The iconic Ridgetop Tour was a standout, taking guests deep into the ranges with expert guides sharing the geology, history and character of the landscape along the way.
As the sun dropped, evenings brought everyone together with long dinners, sunset views and that unmistakable outback hospitality Arkaroola is known for.
It’s not just the scenery that makes a visit here memorable, it’s the people, the experience and the feeling of being somewhere truly unique.
