Arkaroola Sanctuary Scenic Flight

There is nothing like seeing the Flinders Ranges from the air!

The Sanctuary Flight will take you from the ancient sedimentary seabed layers of southern Arkaroola to the unruly granite and quartz outcrops of Mt Gee, the Mawson Plateau and the Freeling Heights, all in a stunning 35 minutes. Ridgetop area granites are the oldest part (1.5 - 1.6B), sedimentary in Arkaroola is half the age but still the oldest of the Flinders.  Pilot Doug Sprigg's commentary will teach you about Arkaroola’s geology and mining history as you take in the beautiful views down below. It’s a unique way to experience the region and one you won’t forget!
